The deadly Coronavirus disease is spreading throughout the world. It affects the football world as well. Most of the European league football competitions have been shutting down already. Earlier today, UEFA has stopped or we can say postponed all their matches until further notice. Besides, the South American football organisation CONMEBOL appealed to FIFA for suspending their matches due to the Coronavirus issue. Just earlier today, FIFA has postponed their schedule as well. Yes, Qatar World Cup qualifying matches have been postponed!
The international break is coming. And in the break, the World Cup qualifying matches were about to take place. Brazil and Argentine which are two superpower football teams in the world were about to play their qualifying matches in the break. But to avoid the infection of the deadly Coronavirus, the matches have postponed. At the same time, Qatar World Cup qualifying matches have been postponed! For the week at least. FIFA has not made the new schedule yet but hopefully, they will announce the further schedule soon.
From the next 23rd March to 31st March 2020, in the Latin American area, the World Cup qualifying matches were about to take place. But earlier yesterday, in their official website, FIFA has revealed the obvious press release. Through that, they have announced the suspension of all the next week matches. Earlier in the last Wednesday, to avoid the spreading of the COVID-19, CONMEBOL requested FIFA to postpone the next matches. After making a thoughtful discussion, the highest football organisation has made the statement.
In the next 27th March, Argentina was about to face Ecuador in the qualifying round. And just a couple of days later, they were about to play against Bolivia as well. In the same way, the match between Brazil and Bolivia, Brazil and Peru have postponed also. The new schedule will come to the front soon.
