The dual T20I series is going on between Uganda and Qatar. We often hear the name of Qatar cricket team but Uganda is almost newbie. The newbie cricket team Uganda is visiting Qatar as we know right now. They are playing a T20I series against Qatar. It consists of three matches. As we know, the two matches of the T20I series have finished already. Qatar has secured the series by winning the two matches. Now, they are looking forward to the 3rd match. By winning the match, Qatar wants top whitewash Uganda at their home venue. Earlier today, the 2nd match of the dual series took place. Reportedly, Qatar managed the 2nd victory against Uganda! They won by 28 runs.
At the venue of Doha, the 2nd match between Qatar and Uganda took place earlier today. And Qatar managed the 2nd victory against Uganda! It was a day/ night T20I match. The guest team Uganda won the toss and let Qatar bat first. Coming to bat, Qatar scored 154 runs in 20 overs. But Uganda could not chase the score. Though in the first T20I, Uganda scored 161 runs in return when Qatar presented 201 runs milestone.
It seems that the venue was batting favoured in the first match. So, both teams scored huge runs in the first match. And in the 2nd match, it’s turned to the bowling favoured and so, Uganda could not chase 154 runs reportedly.
Kamran Khan and Zaheer Ibrahim opened the innings for Qatar. Jointly, they scored 74 runs. Kamran gave his wicket, unfortunately. He became run out. The opener scored the highest 59 runs so far. The local team lost only four wickets in 20 overs. The 2nd opener Zaheer Ibrahim scored 27 runs. Top five players scored good runs and so, the team scored a handsome total.
But, Uganda players could not play longer inning, neither they were able to make a good partnership. Their highest scorer was Kenneth Waiswa. He scored 39 runs. He also became run out. Now, the 3rd match of the series will take place on 15th February 2020.
