Qatar beat Uganda by 40 runs at Doha

Qatar and Uganda cricket teams are almost newbie in the International cricket. Newbie means they are not so familiar or we can say thy are the lower-ranked teams. In recent time, the Ugandan cricket team is travelling Qatar. At the Doha, they are going to play a three matches T20I series against the local team Qatar. The T20I series has already started. In the inaugural match, Qatar beat Uganda by 40 runs at Doha.

At the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, the first match took place earlier today. And Qatar started the series well. Though the amazing batting, bowling and fielding, Qatar beat Uganda by 40 runs at Doha.

Earlier today, the host team Qatar won the toss and decided to bat first. Imal Liyanage and Kamran Khan made an amazing partnership. When the scoreboard presented 101, Imal Liyanage went to the dressing room. He became run out. Just five runs later, the other opener Kamran Khan followed him. Nsubuga trapped him through the lbw. Later, Muhammad Tanveer and Zaheer Ibrahim made another big partnership and finally left the ground unbeaten. They both were not out till the last. Zaheer Ibrahim scored 38 runs and Tanveer added 57 runs for the team. Team Qatar presented 201 runs milestone in front of Uganda.

Then, the newbie team Uganda came to chase the score. In T20 cricket, it is very hard to chase such a figure. And for the newbie team, it was almost impossible. But for Uganda, they played really well. Though they could not win the match but scored 161 runs in 20 overs. In the meantime, they lost 6 wickets. Openers of the team failed completely but the top-order three players played well. Frank Akankwasa scored the highest 66 runs. Deusdedit Muhumuza scored 42 runs and Kenneth Waiswa added 21 uns. Their score was not enough to beat Qatar. Now, they are looking forward to the 2nd T20I.
