Pakistan Super League or simply PSL has now established as one of the top professional T20 league competitions in the cricket world. The 5th season of the tournament was going on. But when the tournament came to the knockout phase, due to the attack of the newborn disease Coronavirus, PCB postponed the matches. Now, earlier today, the Pakistan Cricket Board or PCB revealed the possible date when the rest of the matches of PSL will take place. Yes, according to the PCB, PSL 5 might resume from next November 2020!
During the season of the PSL 5, the rumour spread that COVID-19 infected a player of PSL. So, all in a sudden, PCB stopped the season. No, they did not cancel it but just postponed. Just two semi-finals and a final match of Pakistan Super League are to be taken place. The top-ranked team Multan Sultans will face Peshawar Zalmi. An in the 2nd semi-final, Karachi Kings will play against Lahore Qalandars. And the final was about to take place on the 18th March. But Coronaavirus has destroyed all the plans. Now, according to the new schedule, PSL 5 might resume from next November 2020!
Though PCB already tested their 128 players who played in the tournament but not a single Corona infected people were found.
To confirm the fact, the Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Super League Wasim Khan stated though a teleconference that they need to discuss the matter with the franchise teams. PCB has already got too many suggestions. Most of them have voted to give the PSL 5 title to the top-ranked team Multan Sultans. But still, PCB will try to execute the rest matches before the next season of PSL. In the middle of November might be a suitable time for that.
However, the overseas players who took part in the PSL 5 already returned their home nation. And now they are staying at home for safety from Coronavirus.
