Pakistan and Bangladesh are in the tight schedule right now. They finished the T20I series earlier. After so many speculations, the Tigers have agreed to visit Pakistan. As a result, the dual tournament is going on. The Tigers could not win the T20I series. Also, they could not manage any victory either. Now, they are playing the Test series. The first Test between them started on the 7th February 2020. And reportedly, Pakistan won the 1st Test by an innings and 44 runs!
The Test series consists of two matches. But right now, the Tigers have played just one. The 2nd Test will take place in next 5th April 2020. Almost two months later. For the security problem, a couple of top-rated players did not visit Pakistan. Like the regular wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim. Besides, for the ICC banishment, Shakib Al Hasan is also out of the squad.
However, the main fact is, Pakistan won the 1st Test by an innings and 44 runs! To face the defeat by an innings is not so compatible for Bangladesh. They are now a balanced team. But the Tigers have always the weakness in the long format cricket. At the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, the first match took place between them. Saif Hassan made his Test debut for the Tigers. The local team won the toss and Bangladesh came to bat first.
In front of the maintained bowling spells of Pakistan, the Tigers just scored 233 runs in their first innings. Mohammad Mithun is the top scorer. He added 63 runs so far. They lost all wickets in 82.5 overs. Later, the Green Army came to bat and played quite well. The opener Shan Masood made a century. Besides, Babar Azam scored the highest 143 runs for the Shaheens. In 122.5 overs, Pakistan lost all wickets and scored 445 runs so far. Rubel Hossain and Abu Jayed took three wickets each. The Tigers tried to turn around in the 2nd innings but it was far worse than the first innings. They scored only 168 runs and lost all wickets.
