At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, the match between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars took place earlier today and reportedly, Melbourne Stars won by 6 wickets.
Sydney Thunder lost in the toss and came to bat first. Usman Khawaja and Alex Hales opened the innings for thunder. They jointly added 56 runs. Usman scored 33 runs and Alex hales added another 26 runs for the team. After losing these top two players, the captain of the team Callum Ferguson and Matthew made another partnership. Ferguson added 35 runs and Matthew added 41 runs highest for the team. Losing five wickets, team Sydney Thunder scored 145 runs in 20 overs. Haris Rauf alone took three wickets highest for the team Stars.
Later, the Melbourne Stars came to chase the score. The openers of the team Maddinson and Marcus Stoinis could not make some good partnership. But in 21 runs, opener Maddinson went to the dressing room. He added only 13 runs. In 48 runs, team Melbourne Stars lost 2nd wicket. And just 12 runs later, the 3rd wicket Nick Larkin returned. Later, Stoinis and Maxwell made a partnership where Stoinis added 50 runs and Maxwell remained not out scoring 59 runs in 37 balls so far.
