Flying Oryx won the first match in the Qatar T10 League!

T10 League is just the new form of cricket which has been approved by the highest cricket organization ICC. The 2019 season of the Qatar T10 League is just the inaugural edition of the tournament which has already started. From the 7th December to 16th December, the tournament will be going on in Qatar. However, earlier today, the first match of the tournament has taken place and according to the report, Flying Oryx won the first match in the Qatar T10 League!

Yes, Flying Oryx is one of the six franchise teams which have taken part in the T10 league competition. There are foreign players which have also taken part in the tournament and they are leading the teams. Like the Proteas star Hashim Amla and some other top-rated players. Earlier today, at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Flying Oryx faced Pearl Gladiators. Reportedly, Flying Oryx won the first match in the Qatar T10 League!

Flying Oryx won the toss and decided bowl first. So, Pearl Gladiators came to bat first. Faisal Javed and Sheikh Raheel opened the innings for the Gladiators but in just 4 runs, they lost opener Raheel. He left the ground with 0 runs. In 25 runs, the first batting team lost the 2nd wicket Mehran Khan who added just 8 runs so far. 

Excluding the opener Faisal, no one could score at least 20 runs in the match. Javed added the highest 27 runs in 26 balls. He wasted more balls than expected. On the other side, Saqlain Arshad scored 15 runs and Adnan Ilyas added another 18 runs for the team Gladiators. At the end of the 10 overs, Pearl Gladiators scored 83 runs in exchange for five wickets. Naveed Malik took two wickets and Harmandeep Singh took one wicket for Flying Oryx.

Later, Flying Oryx came to chase the score. It is a 10 overs tournament and so, they had to take careful steps. They also failed to make a good start but in 5 runs, Flying Oryx lost opener Valeed Veetil. He scored only 4 runs. Later, another opener Assad Borham and Hussain Talat made a partnership that successfully led the team to the victory. The captain of the team Talat scored the highest 59 runs unbeaten in the match and got the player of the match award. Flying Oryx will play their next match against Desert Riders in the next 9th December 2019.
