South Africa thought to win the T20I series so easily against England. It can be revenge of their Test series defeat. They wanted to win the ODI series but it ended with a 1 – 1 draw. Now, once again team England has kept the competition running. After winning the first T20I against the team of Morgan, Proteas thought to make another victory in the 2nd match. But this time, team England presented some destructive form. Though the local team went too close and missed the match only for 2 runs. In the end, England beat the Proteas by 2 runs at Durban!
Earlier today, the 2nd T20I between South Africa and England took place at the venue of Durban. Reportedly, England beat the Proteas by 2 runs at Durban! The local team won the toss and let England bat first. Team England dominated the Proteas bowlers and score 204 runs in 20 overs. It was a big total but the ground was batting favoured it seems. Later, South Africa came to chase the score and crossed 200 runs. But finally, for 2 runs, they missed the victory.
Jason Roy and Jos Buttler opened the innings for England. In the 2nd match, Buttler was not the better choice. He added only 2 runs. Then, the regular opener Bairstow came and made a partnership. Both of them played some destructive innings. In 7 overs, the team added 69 runs when Bairstow returned with 35 runs. Captain Morgan scored 27 runs. And the opener Jason Roy added 40 runs so far. But two middle-order players Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali led the team to the big total. Stokes remained not out and scored the highest 47 runs. Moeen Ali added another 39 runs so far. Team England lost 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Top five players of the local team played well but they were a little slower than England. In 20 overs, South Africa added 202 runs losing 7 wickets. Quinton de Kock scored 65 runs highest for them.
