As stated by the president, Champions League must be finished within 3rd August!
For how long, UEFA will wait to resume the tournament, the obvious question has come up in the crisis. But a possible date has been known through the statement of the UEFA president. The current UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin told that Champions League must be finished within 3rd August! Not only the Champions League but also the UEFA Europa League is included under the deadline.
To a German television channel, the UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has given an interview earlier today. In the interview, he talked about the deadline of the UEFA competitions. He stated that UEFA has the number of alternative options of resuming the Champions League and UEFA Europa League. It might resume from next May, June or July. And there is also an option of cancelling the season completely. They are also counting the alternative too. A certain group is currently working on that. But it fully depends on the authorities of the football clubs.
Champions League of Europa League must be finished within next 3rd August 2020. Aleksander Ceferin also added that to finish the tournaments successfully, the authority of UEFA might bring change in the regular format. It might be a one-leg match. The last four or the last eight matches might be staged in a certain town. Yes, they have plenty of alternatives. This is an exceptional situation. So, they have to be patients.
